Our Story
In 2010, the Addison family moved to Estes Park, Colorado and launched Eagles Crest Rentals. With a long history of serving others through organizations like local churches, Habitat for Humanity, and Samaritan's Purse, they wanted their business to have a deeper impact.
Inspired by the "One for One" model from TOMS Shoes, they asked a simple question: Could a vacation stay help change someone's life?
The Idea
From that question, Choose a Night, Change a Life was born. The concept is simple: Every night booked helps provide shelter to someone in need. For every 365 nights booked, enough funds can be provided to build a home for a family in need somewhere in the world.
How It Grew
In 2013, after acquiring a second property, the family officially launched the nonprofit alongside their business. Soon after, they connected with mission partners already building homes in Guatemala, confirming both the need and the feasibility of their vision.

Our Impact
Since then, with the help of volunteers and donors, the organization has:
Built and rebuilt homes for families in need
Helped fund and construct orphanages in countries like Uganda, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Myanmar
Supported disaster relief efforts, including Hurricane Harvey rebuilding
At last count, more than $290,000 had been directed toward housing and humanitarian project, made possible by guests, donors, and volunteers.
